Mechanical Design & Engineering

Turn a manufacturing requirement into a practical, buildable design. IES provides 2D drafting and 3D modeling for custom machinery, fixtures, components, and equipment modifications.

Our engineering team works alongside fabrication, machining, and assembly personnel to consider how equipment will be built, operated, and maintained. We can develop a new concept or support changes to an existing design.

3D Printing & Prototyping

Evaluate designs and produce custom parts with in-house 3D printing. IES supports prototypes, fit checks, research and development, and production printing for suitable applications.

We can work from your model or provide design support. Share the part’s intended use, dimensions, quantity, and operating conditions so we can review material and manufacturing options.

 

 

Custom Fabrication

IES fabricates components and assemblies for industrial equipment, material handling, and shop operations. Projects can include machine frames, equipment stands, brackets, carts, fixtures, guarding, etc.

We can build to your drawings or coordinate with our engineering team to develop the design. Combine fabrication with machining and assembly to receive a more complete solution from one supplier.

Machine & Mechanical Assembly

IES assembles industrial machinery, equipment, and mechanical subassemblies in our Minster facility. We support both individual builds and repeat assemblies, using customer-supplied components or parts manufactured through our shop.

From component installation and mechanical fit-up to final assembly, we help move your project toward completion. Engineering and automation support are available when the scope requires them.

Controls, Robotics & Automation

IES develops and modifies control programs for industrial machinery and automated processes. We support new equipment, existing-machine improvements, and troubleshooting to help customers keep their operations moving.

Our programming experience includes Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Maple Systems, ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa/Motoman and many more platforms.

Machining

Our in-house milling and turning capabilities support custom machinery, replacement components, prototypes, and short-run production.

We work from customer drawings and can coordinate machining with fabrication and assembly. Send us your part requirements, material, quantity, tolerances, and delivery date for review.

Equipment Evaluation & Technical Consulting

Get practical input on an equipment problem, proposed modification, or manufacturing improvement. IES provides machine evaluations, product inspection, and technical consulting to help define requirements and determine next steps.
